hELP ! . . . Hope this turns out GOOD.

My Best Friend Kadina is getting married tomorrow and I am her maid of honor. To the right is what my hair currently looks like. My dilemma is the obvious . . . WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO WITH THIS ???

I've been online for a good HOUR and have found little help to my problem. This REALLY confused me considering everywhere I turn African-American woman are turning to natural hair solutions. I found a few blogs that talk about natural hair and there experiences. (which prompted me to blog about my own hair)

YET I didn't find an image or even a site that could really help me. Every picture or sight basically told me I'd have to blow dry, flat iron, or curl my hair. The few things I have been trying to avoid.

SO I fear I am going to have to wake up early and play with my hair for about 30mins using all these Hollywood and unbeWEAVEable styles as "inspiration". If all goes well I will have found a solution to my problem FOREVER, or at least until my hair gets longer. lol

I also think i'm going to document my trials and errors tomorrow morning so I can HOPEFULLY help some other girls or women when there in a hair predicament. I know for some people going natural isn't easy at first but maybe by sharing my lil tips and tricks I can make it a lil easier.

This is my hair progression from the beginning of last summer til now...... BUT my hairs been natural since about 10th grade. Tried a texturiser once last year but it wasn't that great so I got my hair cut and thats where the pics begin.

TODAY. . . I spent the day with my Mommy and we took care of a few things. Usually I just throw on the WARMEST clothes I can find and head out but today I decided to "try". lol.

Since I got a pair of Dr.Martens for Christmas I've been wanting to wear them again. . . SO I did. I grabbed my black New York & Company leggins ($10), Eddie Bauer long sleeve black shirt I got for Christmas, purple Nordstrom scarf I got for Christmas 2 yrs ago, and my black Delia's pea coat ($40). I found the sunglasses in my little brothers room, he wears glasses so I figured I could put them to better use then he was. I got the purse back when I was working at Van Heusen my senior year of high school. ($??)

After I got dresses and me and Mommy had been out for a lil bit she looked at me and told me I looked very "artsy". I find that funny considering I'm an ART MAJOR. lol. Then after I got home I had to make sure I put this look on my lookbook. Check It Out.

My new black and gold dress from H&M. It was about $20 and it even had pockets. I have no where to wear it yet so today I decided to just model it for the "public" lol

I couldn't decide if boots or heels would look best with this dress. When I do wear it, it will probably be with some type of heel. (My family is kinda fancy) lol

I can't wait to go to an event and show off in this dress. Even my Daddy approved me in the dress. lol.

SO....My Daddy decided to have early Christmas with me and some of my brothers since I was home from school and staying with him a few days. At school since i'm an art major, not only am constantly painting but im walking everywhere, I don't get the chance to wear all my cute clothes often. Only time we get "dressed up" is to go out and thats a whole different topic covered in some of my other blog post. . . .ANYWAY.

When I go shopping I tend to buy cute things I know i'll be able to wear with things I already own and make a great outfit. For instance my outfit to the riiight. ---->I've had this sweater (from H&M) for a lil while now and I wear it all year round. So I went to the mall before leaving school (the mall here in Hagerstown doesn't have as much as the Towson Mall) to find a skirt and possibly some boots. . . and I was SUCCESSFUL !

I found the skirt at Forever21 for about $14, I found a replacement waist belt for $7, and I found 2 pack of &1.50 earrings (2 pairs of hoops and a 5 pack of pearl in varying sizes, I have on the big pearl in this picture) . Even better then ALL that I found boots, that fit my big legs, at wet seal for about $40. Then I went to target and got some tights for $5.

Last Saturday I out but it all together and this was the result. A cute spend-the-day-with-your-family outfit! My Daddy said I look very Holiday like. lol

Though I did miss getting all cute to go places . . . It feels good to be home Sunday (My Mommys or Daddys House) and just throw on a pair of jeans (Delia's $10) and a t-shirt (Forever21 $5) and dance around freely.

Since it is WINTER BREAK I'm feeling quite FREE. I can wear whatever I want (AS LONG AS IT KEEPS ME WARM) and not worry about if im gonna spill oil paint on it. lol

mY 3D pROCESSES fINAL

The final assignment in my 3D class was to create an ASSEMBLAGE out of atleast 4 random objects . . . BUT . . . one of our objects had to be a golf club. SO, I decided I wanted to make a dress since I knew no one else was gonna do it AND I love clothes. For my dress I ended up using AriZona green tea cans, white grocery store bags, wire, bra hooks, old headphone cord, a broken belt, and the golf club. Sounds really odd but as you can see it turned out pretty good.

ME ! and the hair accessory I made to match the dress.

H&M sweaters and dresses . . . .

Well last week I wore fishnets with my sweater dress and boots because it wasn't that cold out during the day, BUT I didn't want my legs to be completely bare. Of course my guy friends decided to tease me about this decision. SMH. And of all the days I wear fishnets it be the day we all go to see I <3 Female Orgasm. lol.

SO....Me and my friend Tebine, on complete coincidence, wore our H&M sweaters that we bought the same day teh weekend before.

jUST wHAT I nEEDED . . .

SO, This past weeknd I made sure I had fun to make up for 2 weeks ago when my weekend went all kinds of wrong.

Thursday night our friend Foster spent the night.

HE IS HILARIOUS! We went to the grocery store with my cuz and he kept rubbin his nipples with his arisona's and etc. lol Then we came back to the apt. goofed around a lil then went to sleep. lol.

He had a early class and I had a meeting in the morning.
Friday we ended up going to this party, Me, Brittanie, Bola, & Chris. It was fun. I got to wear my very cute, very sexy new dress from Love Culture ($20). I also wore my silver forever21 necklace and my Nine West charm bracelet. I figured I'd show out and just DO ME since i've been told that sooo much this year. lol. I danced like crazy, at one point we all looked at eachother and said "Were gettin old" because muscles and stuff were hurting after only dancing with one guy. Smh.

Saturday we kinda slept on and chilled and cleaned the apt. up some. We were having company, Stevie. As soon as he got here we went back out to Wally World. Smh. He need juice for the weekend. Then we picked up Candice and came back to the apt. Then after we got settled the FUN began. SO many menories were made that night. Candice was talking to Brittanie's biggy bank and declared herself the worlds greatest cockblocker. lol. I had the best, longest, most intresting conversation with my guy friends in Padonia. WOW Good Times.

Sunday, we rested and watched Black Dynomite. It was so funny and random.
